ME CATHERINE BÉLAND, NOTARY EMERITUS

Me Catherine Béland, notary and partner with the firm, head of the notarial practice group, with a speciality in divided co-ownership, becomes Notary Emeritus by being awarded the Notarial Merit Award by the Chambre des notaires du Québec. This distinction highlights the contribution of a notary in a particular field whose impact has had a bearing on the entire profession.

Hard-working and passionate, Catherine is involved both with Cain Lamarre and in the community as a lecturer, trainer, author, and speaker. There is no doubt on her qualifications as a Notary Emeritus. We are convinced that her influence and expertise will continue to benefit our current and future clients. Congratulations, it is an honor for us to have you on our team!

JEAN GIRARD, MEDAL OF HONOR RECIPIENT

Recently retired, Jean Girard, who practiced as a notary in our Saint-Félicien office, was awarded the highest distinction of the Chambre des notaires du Québec: the Medal of Honor. Introduced in 2010, this award recognizes the contribution of a notary whose exceptional career as had a bearing on the profession as a whole.

It is no surprise that Jean Girard’s professionalism and passion throughout his career have been recognized. It also recognizes reputation and professional excellence, exceptional contribution to the profession, involvement in the community, and more, all criteria met and even exceeded by this exceptional man. A true pioneer of the notarial profession in his region and in the province of Quebec, Jean Girard has been able to accumulate successes and share his knowledge with his colleagues, partners, and business people.

Once again, congratulations Jean, and what a great way to leave the profession that you have loved so much and practiced with passion.
